4 Important Tips to Start Your Business Right!

There are three tips that will be helpful to your journey in this challenge:

  1. Avoid judging your work prematurely – focus on making progress.
  2. Regularly track your progress against the execution calendar to stay motivated and focused.
  3. Make decisions and move forward to gain valuable experience and insights for future projects.
  4. Most importantly: Have fun with it!

1. Avoid judging your work prematurely – focus on making progress.

There are two different processes: Creativity – Cricital Thinking

In practice it is nice to write when your creative. You won’t get much writing done when your editing at the same time. Editing requires you to think critical.

So while we are building the product – it is not of help for your process to think critical.

There is a place for corrections, but not from the start.

It is more important to move forward – then to repeat the same step over and over again.

2. Regularly track your progress against the execution calendar to stay motivated and focused.

We will get to the execution calendar in the next Step, but I tried to get it all structured and planned for fast movement.

The steps are achievable and Output oriented. Meaning you can check them of.

When you stick with the plan you will see results – even when it doesn’t look like it in the beginning.

It takes time to build momentum, but momentum won’t show, if you don’t put out the output.

Just stick to the plan.

3. Make decisions and move forward to gain valuable experience and insights for future projects.

While you might notice that your problem isn’t as big as you thought.

Or there might be something else going on that makes you doubt the product.

Just finish it anyway.

Building the product is only one part to the B2S-Challenge. The second part is to ship.

You will learn a lot from the process.

Just stick it out and get it done.

Even if the first time around the 12 weeks doesn’t bring the success right away.

Do another round of it and you will see that things go faster and you can use what you’ve already learned.

Don’t give up and steal yourself the whole process to learn.

This will make sure that the first 12 weeks will be the most for your learnings!

4. Most importantly: Have fun with it!

This challenge is meant to be fun!

We are doing what we were talking about for so long.

We are finally starting a business.

This is an exciting activity!

It might not all go smooth!

I can promise you that already. There are many hiccups in the business world.

So try and keep the fun around – it makes life a lot easier!
