Are you over-optimizing your funnel?
Greetings Reader,
One thing that keeps making me annoyed is the optimized funnel. Those funnels where you enter in and just get pitches slapped right away.
We need to find a balance. Although I really like Russell Brunson, I didn’t buy into Clickfunnels, because they just kept hitting me with sales emails. All feels polished and clean. Yet it is only about sales.
Also I have recently thought about my own purchasing behavior. I have bought a few courses and ebooks from instagram ads. Yet I have never bought in more deeply into the businesses.
To be honest I don’t even remember their names.
The higher ticket items I bought or communities were all from people I have followed for a while now. Almost all of them had their prices in the open so I could read them on their website. I watched their videos and listened to their podcasts.
We can for sure also optimize the funnel to buy faster, but I stayed the longest where the relationship was deep.
Yes in the short term you will make more money, but in the long term you will sell out. Especially in coaching or consulting. The relationship there is the biggest advantage.
So focus your efforts on relationships and not on squeezing more out of people. You can learn a lot by talking to the people. Don’t try to make it too complicated.
Yours in Stewardship
Jowi
