Building a Business Wasn’t my 1st Dream

When I was growing up, I started to dream about my life.
One idea that I also pursued was that I wanted to have a family.
I knew that I wanted to get married and have kids.
I wanted to provide for them and I wanted to spend my time with them.

As I got older, reality started to settle in.
What I was studying would maybe make some money.
It would get us food on the table, but not much more.

Maybe if I settled for a career in the field,
a company would pay enough at some point.

When I met my wife, we started talking about our life.
We both wanted her to be a stay-at-home mom,

This turned out to be pretty hard.

Most families today need two incomes, because one is just not enough anymore.
It also became harder to have a career without sacrificing the family for it.

There I was now—
Back to the little boy, with the dream to be both present for my family and provide for them.

The reality didn’t seem to like that dream anymore.
That’s when I came across the business route.

Becoming an entrepreneur seemed to be the answer.

Since reading Rich Dad Poor Dad, I was hooked.
All I had to do was build a business and that would mean
I’d become a Present Provider…

  • Better Offer

Better Offer The most important thing to improve is: Your offer. This is the foundation of your business. There is no way around that. If you don’t have an offer or you have a bad offer – nobody will buy. Nobody will talk with you. It’s like you’re trying to sell old fish. It smells so bad that nobody is willing to get close to you. No matter how much Marketing you do, word about your bad fish will spread. No matter how much you have optimized in your business or even automated. If your offer…

  • Should you be authentic?

Hey Reader, No matter where I look right now, people tell me to be more authentic. Is that really helpful though? I don’t think so. Let me explain why. Being authentic could mean that you’re relatable and personal. It is to be honest. This is what I would understand as being authentic. There is also a different meaning to it. Not many people would describe it as such, but you can observe the behaviors. In reality, a person says “I’m authentic” when they give their unfiltered opinion. Being…

  • Quality vs. Quantity is a lie.

Hey Reader, You’ve probably heard this before. The endless debate of Quality vs. Quantity. It’s all over the internet. The debate is that you have to choose between either or — like they are on the same coin, and you can only pick one side. This is an issue I’ve had for years. Repetition means Quantity.Meaning: you need to do Quantity before you…

  • Build With Leverage, Not Burnout

There is a limit to the work we can do. We all have 24 hours in a day. We might have a different energy level to start, but in the evening, our energy will be spent. The only way to do more is by building with leverage. It used to be that we needed to lift the heavy stones by hand. Then they developed the crane. Now one person could pull the rope and pull up the rock alone. We can have multiple levers. When I was younger, I rode my bike everywhere to school. There was a limit to how fast I…

  • Strive for Effectiveness, not Efficiency

Hey Reader, One thing I’ve seen over the last few years in the productivity field is the hunt for efficiency. It is the idea that when you get things done faster—you will automatically get more done. Let’s take a trip down memory lane: The idea of efficiency stems from the industrial revolution. In factories, it mattered to get more done faster. Thus, the overall productivity rose. The machine could produce more products in less time. When I first got introduced to productivity, I fell in…
