Can I be more relatable in the market?
Greetings Reader,
Last night I spoke to a friend. He is thinking of a business idea. He is worried that the market isn’t big enough for multiple offers.
The business world today has two main markets: commodity and specialty offers. Commodity offers compete mostly on price.
Now with the specialty offers it gets interesting. While price plays a role the deciding factor is different.
First it needs to solve a real world problem, people are willing to spend money on.
Second it needs to be good enough. When there are multiple offers it needs to have more trust that I get the result I’m looking for.
Third it needs to be likeable. You need to be likeable. This is most often the hidden factor. Do I like you and your business. It comes down to relationship and taste.
I’m following two guys. Same offer, same structure, same outcomes promised. It felt like they have the same docs, just changed the branded words.
How do I know? Well because I watch their videos, get their newsletter and have bought some workshops from both.
With one I’m actually writing and the other one I just silently follow. Both made a black friday offer. One I bought. The other one I ignored.
In the end it came down to relationship. Who can I trust more. Who can I relate to better.
We can create almost any offer. The deciding question is: Can I be more relatable in the market?
