Check Your Attitude

Hey Reader,

We all have daily tasks—sorry, chores—that we just have to do.
They are a must.
We can’t get out of doing them.

That might be taking out the trash in your household.
Those tasks also exist in our businesses.

Things that we just have to do.

You probably have tasks that you love to do.
I actually love to write these newsletters.
If I could, I would send you a lot more—just because it’s fun.

In this newsletter, I will try to help us shift our mindset:
That the have-to-dos will become get-to-dos.

You don’t need to love them, but you need to be happy that you get to do them.

Let’s turn our annoying chores into cheerful habits.
With that change, here are three effects:

  1. Your clients will feel the difference.
  2. Your kids will see the difference.
  3. Your wife loves the difference.

These three will have a lasting impact as a result.

You are living a better testimony and you will receive a better testimonial.

This will change your life.

All it takes is to turn annoying chores into cheerful habits.
It’s a mindset shift.

You need to accept that you need to do them—
but think of it like this:

You get to serve your clients, your kids, and your wife.

Put off the arrogance of thinking it’s beneath you
and put on the humility of doing it as a service to others.

  • Your clients will enjoy working with you.
  • Your kids will model after you and do it too.
  • Your wife will love enjoying your help more.

These are all things influenced by your decision.

Keep chopping Wood!

  • Nervous about Pricing your offer? Do this!

When it comes to pricing your offer (product or service), most get nervous. I did too. There is much pressure to get the price right. It also puts an expectation up for our clients. Not only that, we also need to drop the price in a conversation. In reality, most of our prices are taken out of the magician’s hat.We pick a number we like and stick with it. It feels nerve-wracking.Separated from reality. In reality, most entrepreneurs overprice or undercharge. Both of them don’t get you any…

  • More Content Won’t Save a Bad Offer

One thing that comes up in my coaching calls a lot is that people want to just create more content. The client wishes to work more on content.Content creation definitely has a lot of value. I also enjoy it—the work. Yet creating more content only helps when we have a business in the booth. More content is not going to fix your offer problem. I have tried this many times—and it doesn’t work. I have grown a YouTube channel to be monetized to get the clicks to my offer. Because I was so focused…

  • The Curse of Convenience

Hey Reader, I just started a new book:4000 Weeks – Time Management for Mortals by Oliver Burkeman. I picked it up because after all the years of trying to beat productivity,I start to have my doubts what productivity really means. He also starts to talk about how everything is getting more convenient. I like to use AI.It gives my productivity a big advantage. It’s a major boost.I think that I actually get 20x more done than without AI.AI definitely makes my life more convenient. Yet there is…

  • A side hustle won’t save you!

Hey Reader, When I look around, most men want to start a side hustle to get the business off the ground. I love the idea and motivation they have—to provide for their family and spend more time with them. There is only one flaw on that side:They plan for a side hustle, not for an exit strategy. The numbers tell the difference. Most people starting a side hustle are happy about any money they can make. They start to offer low-price digital products:A template for $20 or an ebook for $8. While…

  • To Give is to Get

Hey Reader, How often have you heard:“But he did it first!” Many kids justify their actions as reactions. They say, look at the other person… they are so much worse than I am. We see this today with adults, too—when they put blame on others as an excuse for their bad behavior. It makes me sad to see it in the news every day: “I’m not to blame.” “He was already doing it.” “I’m not as bad as he is.” These are all statements of giving back what you’ve received—with the point of escape or…

  • Don’t Be Scared of a Post to Fail

Social media gets pretty boring.I read the same posts over and over again. Why do most people post the same stuff? It feels like there is nobody sharing fresh ideas. There are waves of trends. As soon as somebody posts something good,it gets reposted, repurposed a hundred times. They all look alike.Sound alike. Are there no new ideas? I believe it’s for one reason: Because people are actually scared their post won’t get enough likes. They hold back their genuine self, fresh thoughts, and new…
