Don’t become a Tactic-Addict

Hey Reader,

We are so often concentrated on learning everything there is.
We want to be fully prepared. We do more and more research.

It is all about knowing the latest tactics.

We become addicted to learning the newest tactics.

The new update to the tactic we’re already planning to use.

There is a quote that got me thinking recently.
I’m not sure who said it:
“It’s not about learning all the tactics, it’s about becoming the person capable of using the tactics.”

We need to become men of action.

There is much said about taking action.
How we take action is largely defined by the tactics you’re implementing.

There is especially one thing:
In the good old days it was the tactics used over decades.

Today we live in a time where Instagram is changing their algorithm twice a week.

Our tactics almost change daily.
That’s at least how it feels.

We are in a constant rush to learn the latest tactic.

Only to figure out tomorrow that it’s already outdated.

We feel a rush when we figure out a new tactic that we plan to use tomorrow.

We get addicted to the rush of a new tactic.

We never actually get around to implementing any of it.

Become the man that is a man of action.

Set yourself up to take action.

To implement a new tactic and not get lost in the sea of constantly learning a new tactic.

Become capable to implement a tactic, rather than learning the newest tactic.

Take strong actions!

Your Jowi

When we often talk about authenticity, we often have different understandings of what that actually means. Over the last year, I have seen a trend come up. The trend has me worried. Authenticity is understood as showing all your emotion, being real in the moment. This does not build trust. It does not show a good manner. Every day has its ups and downs. Yet we don’t need to start with or share all that. There is another way to show your authenticity —that actually creates more trust and is…

There are waves of trends. As soon as somebody posts something good,it gets reposted, repurposed a hundred times. They all look alike.Sound alike. Are there no new ideas? I believe it’s for one reason: Because people are actually scared their post won’t get enough likes. They hold back their genuine self, fresh thoughts, and new…

For the last few years I’ve read so many productivity books. Watched tons of videos trying to figure out how can I get more done in my 24 hours than others. This is the core driver of productivity types: Getting more done with the time they have. It’s all about efficiency. There is one major flaw with productivity that took me 5 years to understand:It doesn’t matter how fast I run, if I’m running in the wrong direction. In the productivity space there is a lot of clutter about tactics that…

  • Stick to the basics

Hey Reader, Often I feel like I could skip ahead. Like I know what it’s about and then I fast forward. This newsletter today is an important reminder for myself as well. When my son was a bit younger, like last year, he was trying to walk. He was practicing one step at a time. Now, when we’re going to the park, he loves to run around. There are situations where he is less comfortable. So he slows down. He takes it one step at a time. Obviously, it doesn’t always work. He falls down and gets…

When we’re starting a business we also expect immediate results.People hop in to buy our products. The reality is hitting hard in the face when nobody shows up.Life doesn’t happen immediate. Most things worthwhile take time. You won’t put a seed in the ground to have the harvest tomorrow. It takes a few…
