Don’t get stuck as a Thought Follower – PPL #180
When I’m scrolling through LinkedIn, I’m observing a lot of people trying to become a thought leader.
One thing many of them do is to write or synthesize content from bigger creators.
This is a hack, supposedly, to get a lot of views fast.
While this might get you views fast, it is also the best way to become a thought follower.
You are sharing the ideas from thought leaders.
This is something I have seen now for years and I’m assuming it will only get worse from here.
Soon there will be so much more content out.
Most of it will just be thought follower content.
It is time now to train your muscle to become a thought leader.
This will make the difference.
Are you able to build out your own thought pattern?
I don’t think that there is something completely unique out there.
We just mix and match and then turn it into our own mental models.
This is how you become a thought leader.
The hard part is:
It won’t be overnight.
It is something that just takes time.
One word of caution though:
When you are a thought follower, it is becoming a lot harder to step into thought leadership.
That’s a good reason to start now.
This is how it works:
Build it right and you’ll build it once.
