Don’t just share the highlights.
On social media, it is the trend to only share the polished version of yourself.
It is like only showing the prettiest bit of your life.
One thing I’m still learning is to also share the hardship —
so it doesn’t look like the highlights.
There is a distinct way to go about it:
Don’t share the struggle while it’s happening.
Write those stories in your journal.
Because the best story you can share is the transformation —
how you went from struggle to success.
This is the heart of all stories.
When you share only the struggle you’re in right now,
it’s often not being edited.
It’s the emotional overload.
One that is desperate.
When you only share the success,
it reads like you’re bragging.
This is why the combination matters.
When you have gone through the struggle and found success,
you then share the whole arc —
not snapshots anymore.
Which gives the reader the sense of:
“Ah, there is a way out.”
They share the struggle of getting out of their struggle,
while your success also gets the better context.
This is the best way to create something meaningful.
It shows your journey — that you have lived through.
It’s not just a snapshot of when life is good.
It makes you more relatable.
This is going to be more important for the future.
Because no matter what, AI won’t have human experience.
It can only fake it.
