How to make sales less crincle.
Greetings Reader,
The other big difficulty for a lot of Founders is Sales. After we chatted about leads yesterday. Today we will chat about Sales.
I’ve also really disliked Sales. I’m still pretty crincle when it comes to it.
There are however a few observations over the years.
The first major one is: Feeling bad for asking for money. This one haunted me for a long time. Until I reframed it.
I’m running also a charity, my charity is to not go hungry myself.
The second big one is that people want to help and think about money later. You can only keep going when you got cashflow.
That’s why the biggest charities are also campaigning. They also need cash to survive.
This is all happening before sales are coming up.
The question is therefore: what happens when you have somebody coming up to a sales conversation.
That’s when people start to get fidget. First they don’t set expectations. So transitioning for a sale is hard when people feel blindsided.
Then also when you are saying the price you jump on to justifying it right away. The best is to just say nothing else.
I know this is hard. People don’t see that you are nervous, until you tell them.
Yours in Stewardship
Jowi
