More Content Won’t Save a Bad Offer

One thing that comes up in my coaching calls a lot is that people want to just create more content.

The client wishes to work more on content.
Content creation definitely has a lot of value.

I also enjoy it—the work.
Yet creating more content only helps when we have a business in the booth.
More content is not going to fix your offer problem.

I have tried this many times—and it doesn’t work.

I have grown a YouTube channel to be monetized to get the clicks to my offer.
Because I was so focused on creating content, I didn’t notice I had the right audience and the real audience didn’t care or wasn’t interested in my products anymore.

I only saw success once I matched my content to my clients.
That’s when it changed.

For that, I really had to understand who my clients were and what offer would help them.
That’s all that matters.

So fix your offer to make better content to grow your business.

At this point, more content will result in more busyness.
That’s what it comes down to.

More content can make you run in the wrong direction at 100 miles per hour.

Don’t. Please don’t repeat my mistakes.
It was a hard lesson to learn.

I say: Focus on your offer.
Validate it with real people.

Then you’re going to be ready to take it online and grow it like magic.

I just read a post from somebody complaining how bad his dream job is and how the system is responsible it’s so bad. This seems like it’s so acceptable today.Everything is responsible for you not thriving or getting where you want to go. The other day, I heard a young man say that he has issues with girls because of his mother. When we don’t have one person to blame, it’s so easy to just blame the system. In my humble opinion, those are weak excuses. You make everyone and everything around…

  • Have You Shared Your Story Yet?

Many people try to grow their online presence —trying to build something unique. Yet they tell stories that everybody has heard before. You could share your story. Tell what happens in your life. It’s hard to do, so maybe — you think there is no story to tell. You have nothing interesting to share. Or you think that it’s scary. You don’t want to tell your story to nobody. I understand all that. But here’s the question:Why did you start? What made you want to start this business in the first…

A lot more people want to start a business today. A lot of people dream about the life they are wishing to live. But only a few starts — and even fewer succeed. I’ve been working on my business for the last 8 years. From having the idea, pivoting to a different offer, to learning the required skills—it has taken me a while. The last 5 years I fully committed to the craft. The reality is: starting a business is hard work. I have not been part of the community for a while. It took me a long…

So: burnout is not really excellence. Striving for Excellence is like driving on a three-lane highway. You shouldn’t drive too fast and lose controland cross over into oncoming traffic. But you also shouldn’t drive too slowlyand steer off into the right side by pursuing perfection. Striving for Excellence has two limits: Don’t…

  • Seasonal Stewardship

Seasonal Stewardship In Ecclesiastes, Solomon is telling about many different seasons of life. There is a time of birthing and a time of dying. There are many more seasons: Sowing and harvesting. Work hard and rest. Season of sorrow and season of joy. Then there are also seasons of life: when you’re a child. An adult. Single and married. Engaged. Having young kids. All these seasons change your responsibility. So in effect, it changes your stewardship. All the points of Extreme Stewardship…

  • The $1 Billion Business You Would Never Sell?

Hey Reader, In a recent podcast that I listened to, they were chatting about the perfect business. A lot of people advise to build a business you could sell later. It is with the idea to personally get so much money out of the exit that you would never need to work again in your life. When I talk to my clients, they always say that they don’t mind to work. It is the other way around. They want to show their work. What a good work ethic looks like. In the podcast, the host asked: “What if I…
