My New Enemy: The Copy-Paste Entrepreneur
Hey Reader,
I found a new enemy this week.
The copy-paste entrepreneur.
He downloads templates. Buys done-for-you funnels. Copies exact offer stacks. Plugs them into his business without thinking.
He’s taking action. Working hard. Staying ambitious.
But he’s building on sand.
Here’s what breaks my heart about this: I love the ambition. I love that he’s willing to move fast and execute.
That mindset is rare. Most people never take any action at all.
But taking the wrong action over and over doesn’t build a business. It builds denial.
You can’t copy-paste your way to sustainable success.
I see this everywhere now. Someone buys a Make.com automation template and thinks they can sell automation services. They wonder why nobody buys.
The truth? They don’t understand the actual problem they’re solving. They don’t know the transformation their clients need.
They just copied something that looked profitable.
Here’s the twist that nobody talks about: when you bought that template, you were the product.
The person selling it solved their own problem. They needed to make money quickly. You were looking for a shortcut.
They weren’t interested in your success. They were interested in your purchase.
That’s the cycle. Copy-paste entrepreneurs buying from other copy-paste entrepreneurs. Nobody actually building anything real.
I’ve been there. I’ve bought the templates. Copied the systems. Wondered why they didn’t work for me the way they worked in the sales page.
What changed everything was slowing down. Understanding the strategy. Building something that actually solved a real problem for real people.
Stop collecting templates. Start building expertise.
Action: Look at one system you copied. Ask yourself: do I understand why this works? Can I explain the strategy behind it? If not, learn it before you use it.
