Greetings Reader,

You are probably also wondering: Whats makes people successful?

Why do other businesses look like they have it all together. While my business looks like a mess. I do have all the parts, but why do they not match?

Well this is one of the open secrets thats hard to believe. Most people start their business messy. And to most founders it always looks messy.

There is a simple reason for this: The thing that looks good is done and you don’t look at it again.

I have a really simple picture for you:

When you watch one of my videos, you will see me sitting in my rocking chair in an arranged studio. All things that you see on camera are there, because I put them there.

From your perspective it looks all put together.

Now my view looks different. I’m looking at lights, cameras, desks and shelfs. Short: The mess.

So when I’m filming I don’t see the cleaned up backdrop. I only see the mess. It feels unfinished, unorganized and chaotic.

I know how hard that can feel to keep going. The problem is that we can’t let that controlled mess distract us. Make Version 1. Ship it. Get feedback and ship Version 2.

For my Content Nursery I’m not past Version 12. It starts to look cleaner and it works. That’s the difference.

Make things that work. Give them to people.

The one lesson I learned over the years. It’s better to have a complete Version 1 that people use, rather than a Version 0 that feels right.

So ship your Version 1 today!
