Stick to the basics
Hey Reader, Often I feel like I could skip ahead. Like I know what it’s about and then I fast forward. This newsletter today is an important reminder for myself as well. When my son was a bit younger, like last year, he was trying to walk. He was practicing one step at a time. Now, when we’re going to the park, he loves to run around. There are situations where he is less comfortable. So he slows down. He takes it one step at a time. Obviously, it doesn’t always work. He falls down and gets back up. That’s a lesson for another day. He slows down to focus on each step again. He is focused on the basics. Often I feel like sprinting. In reality, I should slow down and focus on the basics. We try to post everywhere daily. Reach out to clients. Do so much more. Especially in the beginning of a business, there are just so many things to do. This is when I have to remind myself. When I’m overwhelmed and feel the strain, I gotta slow down and stick to the basics. Focus on taking it one step at a time. For this, you need to understand what you’re doing. You also need to know your priorities. For me, this means customer success first. What can I do to help my clients succeed this moment? Only one thing. What is non-negotiable on my list? For me, this is my newsletter. It’s my personal letter to you. So writing my newsletter is also helpful to slow down. Take a step back. Focus on the basics. Then take one step forward.
