The Antidote to AI Is Standing Right in Front of You
Hey Reader,
Everyone’s racing to scale with AI.
Meanwhile, the smartest creators are doing the opposite.
I was on a call yesterday with someone building a podcast. He asked if he should invest in better editing software or AI voice enhancement. I told him to buy a plane ticket instead.
Here’s what’s happening: The more digital everything becomes, the more people crave what’s real. The more AI can produce, the more they value what it can’t replicate.
That thing AI can’t replicate? Being in the room.
Think about it. Newsletters and podcasts are exploding right now. But the ones winning aren’t the most polished. They’re the most personal. The ones that feel like the creator is sitting across from you.
This creates an interesting problem: How do you make something unscalable feel present at scale?
The answer isn’t better technology. It’s starting with what technology can’t copy.
Record your podcast with someone in the room. Write your newsletter after a real conversation. Create something physical people can hold. Then scale the digital version of that real thing.
Do it backwards from how everyone else thinks. Don’t start digital and try to add humanity later. Start human and scale the humanity.
The live stream. The handwritten note. The coffee meetup before the interview. These aren’t nice-to-haves anymore. They’re the actual product. The digital version is just the distribution method.
Your readers can feel the difference between content created in isolation and content that came from real connection. Always.
Your move: Before you write your next newsletter or record your next episode, have one real conversation about the topic. With a real human. In person if possible. On a call if not. Then create from that.
AI scales the digital. You scale the human.
