Following Google with 137 Billion Views per year, YouTube ranks second place in most visited Websites with 115 Billion Views per year. It is the biggest platform to use for your business.

  • It builds your authority.
  • It brings you new leads.
  • It deepens the relationship to your clients.

Unfortunately most business never show up on YouTube. Even if they do – they post 3 Videos 7 years ago and left it at that.

Most business owners think, that they need to become a YouTuber in order to use YouTube.

They think that YouTube is not the right fit for them:

  • They think it’s to hard.
  • They think it’s a waste of time.
  • They think it’s to time consuming.

I will take you through these steps. To show you:

  • that YouTube is easy,
  • that YouTube is helpful for your business,
  • that YouTube is a time saver in the long run!

We need to talk about why YouTube is so essential for your business.

First of all we need to talk about the two different extents of YouTube.

The Evergreen Discovery

One of the Main reasons I love YouTube so much, as a Business Owner is: That the Algorithm shares Videos from Years ago. YouTube is the only platform that has Evergreen Content. Every YouTube Video will be part of your growing Video Library.

In comparison with Audio Podcasts – YouTube actually offers you a discovery opportunity.

YouTube will show your Videos to new people. Which is needed in order to grow organically.

People don’t know you exist – until they see you.

Either you have to share it with them – Invite them to sign up for your Newsletter.

Or somebody else will need to share it – The algorithm showing your Videos.

The most Extreme Platform as of now, is TikTok. They will give you the most reach, but they lack the actual connection. Which is the other Super Power of YouTube.

The Depth of Relationships

Since YouTube is a long form Video Platform. Viewers can actually watch a lot of your videos for a long time (If you have enough Videos).

For Viewers to become Clients – they want to have a relationship with you.

They don’t see you and then buy from you a second later.

Google has figured out, that a customer spends on average 7 hours researching before making a purchasing decision.

Now ask yourself this: Where could people spend 7 hours with me?

There are a few options:

  • They could have calls with you.
  • They could hang out with you.

These options don’t sound so appealing, do they?

So we have a few more options:

  • They can read our Newsletter for 2 years (52 Newsletters x 5 min reading time = 4 Hours 20 Min).
  • They could listen to your 21 Podcast Episodes (avg. Podcast Time of 20 min).
  • They could watch your 42 YouTube Videos (avg. Video Time of 10 min).

Let’s take a step back: We just talked about the Discovery. You need to be found.

Your Newsletter won’t be found. Your Podcast will have a hard time being found. Your YouTube channel can be found!

If we think one step further: Viewers of your YouTube channel sign up for your Newsletter. In the Newsletter you send them a Link to your Podcast.

Now the Magic happens! New People find your YouTube Videos and you take them along for the ride.

All of the sudden the 7 hours don’t seem so daunting anymore.

You had a Client Call?

Good.

Now take a minute – leave the Webcam on.

Record a quick Video to the biggest Question of the Call.

Now you got your first Video in the Camera.

Make it simple: Most People Overthink their Content

I have been growing YouTube Channels for the last 1446 days.

In my years I have uploaded over 400 Videos.

I know that many people say, that you need to highly edit your videos.

That they need to have a Master Thumbnail.

All of those help – but a posted Video is better than a unrecorded Video.

I’m not saying – that you shouldn’t get better with time.

All I’m saying is: Pick your Battles. Don’t overthink your Content from the beginning on.

Make it easy for you to film and post – Once you got a routine it will be easier to level up.

Make it personal: Speak directly to your clients

The best way to stand out on YouTube – is to be personal.

Film Videos to real problems and share your personal stories to them.

This is how you turn knowledge into insights.

Sharing what you know in your own unique way.

I know that filming Videos sounds like it is an extra thing on your to-do list.

Maybe for a short time – it will be extra work, but then something amazing happens.

1. New Leads can find you – when you’re sleeping.

You are getting warm leads. People that already know, like and trust you will reach out to you.

They are ready to get to work with you.

This will be a major time saver. You don’t need to hustle to get new Clients.

They will start coming to you.

2. Answer Clients Questions – Once and for all!

If you’re also doing a lot of Coaching Calls – you will have to answer the same Questions over and over again.

Filming Videos can make your life so much easier.

It is proven, that paying customers are getting more out of your free content as well.

They are believing in what you say. So they will sit down and watch the Videos you publish.

This will save you a lot of time – since they show up prepared and they are speaking the same language as you are.

Even one step further. You can actively send clients Links to your Videos.

They get an answer to their Question – without you needing to present it over and over again!

3. Film Once – Repurpose 28 Times

If you really want to save some time, but want to be visible on all Social Media Platforms – then I got a big Bonus for you!

You can go to your Video’s description on YouTube and click “show transcript”. Then you will have your whole Transcript of the Video.

Now you can let AI clean that up for you and you have a good manuscript of the Ideas you were talking about.

The other way is to just write a Script before filming.

Either way – you will have a text version of the Video.

Now go ahead and use it to write Tweets, Threads, Tiny Essays.

Take some words and repurpose them into the different Post formats.
