14 Days of Consistency: Here’s What Happened

Two weeks ago, I kicked off my journey to build a Personal Media Company, not just a personal brand. The goal? Scale my content, impact, and visibility across multiple platforms. It’s been an intense 14 days of consistent content production, and now, I’m ready to share the results.

Content Recap: What We Created

From September 22nd to September 28th, I focused heavily on creating and distributing content across multiple platforms. Here’s the breakdown of content production this week:

  • Total posts: 870 (a 71% increase from last week!)
  • YouTube videos: 8 new long-form videos across two channels
  • TikTok & Instagram: 26 posts on TikTok and 34 posts on Instagram
  • Newsletter: 6 editions sent out
  • New blog posts: 6 fresh articles on the website
  • Podcast: 8 episodes published

While these numbers might seem staggering, the strategy behind it is simple: consistency and multi-platform content distribution.

Key Metrics and Growth

It’s all about measuring the right things—posts, impressions, and followers. I track these across every platform to ensure I’m seeing real progress. Here are the results after 14 days:

  • Impressions: 33,000 (up 160% from the previous week)
  • New followers: 222 (a 27% increase)

On specific platforms, I saw a few noteworthy spikes:

  • YouTube (Channel 1): 60 views (8,000% increase from week zero), with 12 new subscribers (33% growth)
  • YouTube (Channel 2): 400% increase in impressions thanks to a focus on short-form content (YouTube Shorts)
  • Twitter (X): 40% increase in subscribers and 39% increase in impressions, showing a strong correlation between exposure and audience growth.
  • Instagram: Early days but steady growth as we started posting more consistently.
  • TikTok: Nearly 10,000 new impressions in just 14 days after starting fresh on the platform.
  • Pinterest: Impressions went up while the number of posts dipped slightly.

On platforms like Facebook and Threads, growth is still slower, but I expect to see bigger jumps soon.

Lessons Learned

One key takeaway from these 14 days is that growth happens in waves. Some platforms, like YouTube, take time to build up momentum, while others, like Twitter, can grow rapidly when the content aligns with the audience. Here are some insights from the past two weeks:

  • Consistency Wins: Posting across platforms daily has helped drive impressions and follower growth. Staying on top of each platform’s algorithm is key to gaining visibility.
  • Platform Differences Matter: A YouTube view is worth a lot more in terms of time investment than a Twitter impression, so I’m continuing to adapt my strategies accordingly.
  • Short-form content can drive volume but not always engagement: Shorts on YouTube and posts on TikTok are great for increasing views but may not immediately lead to new followers or subscribers. However, they play a crucial role in brand visibility.

What’s Next?

As we look forward to the next phase, the goal remains the same: scale content across platforms, optimize strategy, and grow consistently. I’m keeping an eye on the bigger picture here. While the growth is steady, the real momentum kicks in around the 30 to 50-day mark. That’s when I expect to see exponential results.

I’m also working on refining backend systems like landing pages and automating more processes to streamline content creation. The focus is on continuing to post while addressing any hiccups along the way, like missing analytics or delayed data reporting.

Final Thoughts

This journey is only just beginning. With 14 days in, I’m happy with the direction we’re headed. It’s all about sticking with the plan, trusting the process, and knowing that big results come with time and effort. The numbers are rising, and as we stay consistent, they will continue to do so.
