Today, I’m going to walk you through a powerful framework to help you finally understand how to define your niche the right way: the 3P Knot Framework. If you’ve ever struggled with niching down, you’re not alone. It took me 3 years to break through the false beliefs surrounding this concept. With the 3P Knot Framework, you’ll stop making your niche all about you and instead, make it about how you can transform others. Unfortunately, many people fail to niche down effectively because of common misconceptions. Hey friend! Welcome to Roots to Revenue. The Core Problem: Believing It’s All About YouPeople get stuck thinking their niche is just about their topic or interest, leading to one-sided, self-focused content. Let’s break down the reasons why this doesn’t work:
But don’t worry, because by the end of this newsletter, I’m going to show you how to overcome these struggles and make your niche about solving real problems for your audience. Here’s how to make that shift, step by step: Step 1: Define your audience (the person)The most important part of this framework is to stop focusing on you and start thinking about the person you want to help. Instead of asking, “What am I interested in?” ask, “Who am I best positioned to help?” For example, I focus on entrepreneurs who are struggling with their marketing. By knowing who you’re talking to, you can create content that speaks directly to their needs. Step 2: Identify their problem (the problem)Your niche isn’t just a topic—it’s the problem your audience faces. Narrow down the specific challenge that your target person is struggling with. In my case, the problem is marketing. Most entrepreneurs struggle to market themselves effectively, and that’s the challenge I focus on solving. By pinpointing the core problem, you position yourself as the solution. Step 3: Offer a transformation (the product)Finally, the key to niching down successfully is focusing on the transformation you offer. How do you take your audience from where they are now to where they want to be? For me, the solution is transforming personal brands into Personal Media Companies. This transformation is what sets my coaching program apart, and it’s what makes my content compelling. ConclusionBy combining these three elements—person, problem, and product—you build trust, create real transformation, and give your audience a reason to keep coming back. The 3P Knot Framework is your pathway to niching down in a way that not only works for you but also serves your audience on a deeper level. Start applying these steps today, and if you need more guidance, consider joining my coaching program, where we will create your full 3P Knot Framework together, dial it in, and make it work for you.
