What You Give Determines What You Get
It’s Not About What You Get
Greetings Reader,
Lately I’ve been thinking about how easy it is to drift into the wrong question in business.
Not “How can I help?” but “What do I get?”
How fast can this make money? How can I scale it? How do I extract more? And I get it. We all need income. We all want progress.
I’ve learned the hard way that the moment I focus primarily on what I can get, things start to feel heavy and forced.
Real value is created when we serve.
When we listen carefully.
When we understand the actual struggles people face and build something that genuinely helps them move forward.
Income is important, but it is not the starting point. Impact is. If I help someone win, I earn trust. If I earn trust, I earn the right to be paid. When that pattern repeats over time, income compounds naturally.
Entrepreneurship turns sideways when it becomes more about extraction than contribution. People can feel that shift. They know when they are being served and when they are being harvested. So before I launch, post, or sell anything, I try to ask myself one simple question:
How can I make this genuinely better for the person on the other side?
Because in the long run, impact leads to income.
