Working with Constraints
Everybody has constraints. We usually try to ignore them. We try to show all the good things and advantages we have. But we don’t want to share limitations we have. Constraints are a powerful opportunity once you use them right. There is a saying that goes something like this: “You can do anything, but you can’t do everything.” The opportunities we have right now seem endless. You think you can conquer the world. Once reality hits, you realize – that you’re still stuck in your city. I used to work as a student counselor. When I was talking to the students, they seemed to be overwhelmed by the sheer endless opportunities for their lives. This is where constraints really help. You usually can’t change your constraints. They are often a result of one of your actions or decision. We have many constraints that we have by choice. Being married, for example, is my most loved constraint. I love my wife. So, I don’t want to do anything to hurt her. This means I can’t go out partying by myself or dating other women. This is a joyful constraint to me – since I don’t like to do that. The big upside is, that I can enjoy the friendship and relationship with my wife – this is so much better than the other options. The point that I’m trying to make is to find your constraints because they simplify what you can do. This is also the reason the One-Dad Business is so good. Most of you start in a 9-5, so you want to quit fast. You need to earn a lot fast. You are starting alone – hence the One-Dad. Constraints are a good thing. Just write a list of your Constraints down. Not to discourage you, but to set the stage for your story! Look at it as encouragement for your future Life. Just get started! Your Jowi |
