You Can’t Skip to Quality
Hey Reader,
I used to think quality was about being selective.
Write less. Post less. Only share the best ideas.
Turns out I had it backwards.
Quality doesn’t come from restraint. It comes from volume. You can’t get to your best work without going through your worst work first.
Think about it: Every great writer has a drawer full of terrible drafts. Every successful entrepreneur has launched products that failed. Every skilled creator has made content they’d rather forget.
The difference between them and everyone else? They didn’t stop at the bad stuff.
Here’s what I learned the hard way: You need to dominate quantity to excel in quality. The two don’t compete. They work together.
When I started my newsletter, I thought I should only send something when I had a profound insight. That meant I sent maybe one email a month. And every single one felt forced because I was putting too much pressure on it to be perfect.
Then I switched: Write every day. No exceptions. Some days the ideas are sharp. Other days they’re average. But the muscle gets stronger with repetition.
The quality emerged from the quantity. Not despite it.
This applies to everything. Launch more offers. Have more conversations. Create more content. Most of it will be fine. Some of it will be forgettable. But buried in that volume, you’ll create something that actually works.
You can’t engineer quality from nothing. You have to earn it through reps. The person who writes one perfect piece took a hundred attempts to get there. You just didn’t see the other ninety nine.
Your move: Pick one thing you’ve been holding back on because it’s not good enough yet. Ship it today anyway. Then do it again tomorrow. Quality is waiting on the other side of volume.
Stop aiming for perfect. Start aiming for done.
Your Jowi
